Peer mediation
European Charter for Democratic Schools without Violence; specifically,

Article 1 - All members of the school community have the right to a safe and peaceful school. Everyone has the responsibility to contribute to creating a positive and inspiring environment for learning and personal development.

Article 5 - In a democratic school conflicts are resolved in a non-violent and constructive way in partnership with all members of the school community. Every school has staff and students trained to prevent and solve conflicts through counseling and mediation.

This project will implement strategies led by young people to help school communities establish peer mediation.

Peer mediation is a program and a process where students of the same age-group facilitate resolving disputes between others to reduce further problems and violence. It enables students to understand and resolve conflicts in their lives without using violence.
